Brigham Chen FAML 120 Parenting Skills Parent Skills There are three main skills I learned from this class. First, reward. Second, punishment. Third, grit. Reward is something that I learned what I should perform as a parent. In my opinion, it is the most difficult thing to balance. We do not want to let them feel prideful because of too much compliment. If we do not give enough compliments, they may not have the motivation to improve themselves. Balancing the use of rewards and compliments in parenting is undoubtedly a challenging task. On one hand, we want to encourage our children's self-esteem and self-worth, which is why we offer praise and compliments for their achievements. However, as you rightly pointed out, showering them with too much praise can inadvertently lead to a sense of entitlement and overconfidence. On the other hand, withholding compliments and rewards may potentially dampen their motivation to improve themselves and reach their full potential. Finding the mid

70% of divorced people regret it in two years. Many factors can contribute to feelings of regret following a divorce, including financial difficulties, loneliness, and the emotional toll of ending a marriage. Additionally, some people may feel pressure from family and friends to reconcile with their former partner, which can further complicate the process of moving on from the divorce. Couples should strive to openly and honestly communicate their feelings and needs with each other regularly. They should also work to build trust and respect in the relationship, by prioritizing each other's feelings and opinions.  One of the main reasons that cause divorce is the difference between reality and expectation. There are lots of risks of the father being absent from home. The absence of a father from the home can have significant impacts on the family unit and individual family members, particularly the children. Children who grow up without a father figure in their lives may face increased risks of experiencing emotional, behavioral, and social problems. For example, they may be more likely to develop mental health issues, struggle with academic performance, and engage in risky behaviors such as drug use and early sexual activity. The absence of a father can also put a strain on the mother's emotional and financial well-being. Mothers may feel overwhelmed with the responsibilities of raising a child alone, and may also face financial challenges if the absent father is not contributing to child support. What are some problems with communication? Thought can feelings need to be encoded. Misunderstandings can occur when the message sent by the sender is not clear or when the receiver interprets the message in a different way than intended. This can happen due to differences in language, culture, or interpretation of the message. For instance, if the sender uses technical jargon or a language that the receiver is not familiar with, it can lead to confusion and misunderstanding. Similarly, cultural differences in communication styles and expectations can also lead to misinterpretation of messages. Another common problem with communication is the use of ambiguous language. Words and phrases can have multiple meanings, and the intended meaning may not always be clear to the receiver. This can be exacerbated by nonverbal communication such as tone of voice or body language, which can be difficult to interpret. Communication can be affected by emotional barriers. Men and women have different sexual excitement arousal and responsibility. For example, women have more internal feelings, and men have more external feelings. That is why normally men are the ones who want to have sex. Women want to have feelings that make them feel safe, warm, and close. If men can offer those feelings to women, that could make both women and men feel closer. Lots of times, men will make women feel uncomfortable. In my opinion, sex makes both women and men feel bounty, but it does to women more mentally and to men more physically. One data set I want to collect is how often the couples have sex together. My target will be the satisfaction of their marriage, and how likely not to divorce. Collecting data on the frequency of sexual activity within a married couple can provide insights into the satisfaction of their relationship and their likelihood of divorce. Sexual intimacy is an important aspect of a healthy marriage and can contribute to the overall happiness and w
